Volunteer Opportunities
Everyone has something to give! MOWDC aims to build community by engaging people to help each other in meeting daily essential needs. Neighbors volunteer their time and talent to help seniors live with dignity and independence. Volunteers may be the only contact the seniors have with other people everyday. Whether you have only a few hours one day per week or can volunteer every day your assistance is much needed!
New volunteers will need to download, complete, and return the volunteer application found on the website!
Meals on Wheels Volunteer
Deliver nutritious lunches to those in need in Denton County. Volunteers are typically expected to commit to meal delivery at least one day per week regularly, or volunteers can deliver on a stand-by basis. The pick up time is between 10:30 A.M. and 11.30 A.M., Monday through Friday, and the food should be delivered by 1pm. Food containers and training are provided. Please remember that we, and the people who receive our meals, are depending on you.
Requirements for delivering meals include: personal transportation, valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, application and criminal history check.
