Who We Are

Meals on Wheels of Denton County (MOWDC) / SPAN, Inc provides nutritionally balanced, home-delivered noon meals to homebound elderly and disabled citizens of Denton County. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday. The meals are delivered to the client’s door by trained volunteers, who are often the only people our clients see on a daily basis.

Volunteers are the “eyes and ears” of MOWDC; they check on the well-being of clients and report any changes or concerns to office staff. Meals are delivered by volunteers from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday – Friday from sites throughout the county. Last year, MOWDC served over 84,000 meals to seniors and the disabled throughout Denton County.
